
{"id":60,"date":"2010-07-14T05:16:42","date_gmt":"2010-07-14T05:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipes.theskinnyonscv.com\/?page_id=60"},"modified":"2010-07-14T05:52:00","modified_gmt":"2010-07-14T05:52:00","slug":"lemon-basil-pasta-salad","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.recipes.theskinnyonscv.com\/?page_id=60","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Basil Pasta Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>A perfectly perfect salad!<\/p>\n<p>It is:<\/p>\n<p>Perfect for warm weather( no mayo and very light and refreshing ),<\/p>\n<p>Perfect that there is few ingredients, all in which are in their peak  flavors\u00a0 at the same time,<\/p>\n<p>Perfect with any B B Q favorite proteins,<\/p>\n<p>Perfectly simple and fast to make.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theskinnyonscv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lemons-723835.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"lemons-723835\" src=\"http:\/\/theskinnyonscv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/lemons-723835-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1 pound farfalle or bowtie pasta<\/p>\n<p>4 plum or roma tomatoes cut in 1 inch dice, I sometimes use grape  tomatoes cut in 1\/2 but the romas are meater and stand up alot longer<\/p>\n<p>approx 11 large basil leaves cut into chifonade, or more if you like<\/p>\n<p>1 lemon juiced, approx a little more than 1\/4 cup<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 cup extra virgin olive oil<\/p>\n<p>3 teaspoons salt<\/p>\n<p>fresh basil leaves, for garnish<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theskinnyonscv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Basil_Ocimumbasilicum_Photo051.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-469\" title=\"Basil_Ocimumbasilicum_Photo05\" src=\"http:\/\/theskinnyonscv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Basil_Ocimumbasilicum_Photo051-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theskinnyonscv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/farfallone3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"farfallone3\" src=\"http:\/\/theskinnyonscv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/farfallone3-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fill a large pot about 3\/4 of the way with water, add plenty of salt  to it and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook 8 to 10  minutes, until\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 al dente.Drain the pasta and rinse under cold water to  cool down.<\/p>\n<p>Place the pasta in a large serving bowl and add the tomatoes, basil,  lemon juice, olive oil and the salt. Toss well and garnish with the  fresh basil leaves. Serve promptly and enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>This would also make a great lite lunch or dinner by adding chicken,  steak, crab meat or shrimp to it.<\/p>\n<p>If pasta is too dry for your liking just add more oil\/ lemon juice.
