As it bakes in the oven it gets a creamy texture and gets a nutty flavor. It is truley one of my favorites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup pearl Barley<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 cup finely chopped onion<\/p>\n<p>8 oz. sliced mushrooms<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 cup butter<\/p>\n<p>1 chicken bouillon cube<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>1 Tbsp chopped Parsley ( optional)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350<\/p>\n<p>1; In skillet cook barley, onion and mushrooms in the butter over low heat, stirring frequently, till the onion is tender and the barley is a golden \u00a0brown.<\/p>\n<p>2; Meanwhile bring \u00a02 1\/2 cups water to a boil.<\/p>\n<p>3; Stir the \u00a02 1\/2 cups of boiling water into the skillet along with the bouillon cube and 1\/2 tsp salt.<\/p>\n<p>4; Pour into a 1 quart casserole dish and place in oven.<\/p>\n<p>5; Bake uncovered for one hour stirring once or twice.<\/p>\n<p>6; Stir in parsley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ENJOY!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delicious, is all I need to say!
